Cadbury have employed a fantastic advertising agency it seems (at least in the UK). Following on from the utterly brilliant yet absolutely nothing to do with chocolate ad staring a man in the best gorilla costume ever [previous thread, YouTube] drumming along to Phil Collins, they've now moved on to racing airport trucks and it's awesome!

Cadbury are putting themselves up there with Honda, Skoda, Guinness and alike in brilliant ads, and as a viewer stuck watching them I appreciate it when these companies put some effort in!

I must get into advertising. Those guys must have such fun thinking this stuff up.

Shame they're re-classifying Cannabis to Class B, come to think of it ;)

Like it, like it a lot. I actually look forward to seeing it on telly

Novelty, that;s where it all is in advertising. The drumming gorilla was genius, purely because there was a lot of gormless stares at the screen wondering what it was all about - it got us all talking.

I much prefer the gorilla I have to say. This one doesn't have as much novelty factor as I see it. Still a good ad though.

See that's just brilliant. I spotted some short version of that where one of the trucks underside lighting comes on.

They've nailed it. Back when I did some advertising brief we had lectures about folk "tuning out" when adverts come on and went on to say adverts need to be good, simply an entertaining short. And they've nailed it.
All that said I only did a couple of advertising briefs so I don't really know much about this subject

And best song ever. It's been one of my most played songs on every music player I've had since ever! Great in Audiosurf.

Would love it if it was done in real life, a proper race which is why I like the ad so much.

My friend works for the agency that did the airport vehicles one.

The original version was so much better, it had Survivor - The Final Countdown instead of Queen. The first time I saw it on TV with Queen, I was really dissapointed...

You mean Europe - The Final Countdown, or did Survivor cover it?

Heh. I'd like to see a Final Countdown version now.

The gorilla one literally made me laugh out loud. It's been a while since a commercial did that for me.

And this one just made me giddy. :)

A woman at work, my Team Leader no less :(, thought the Gorilla was real in that ad.

She said "I know monkeys (sic) are clever but how did they train it to do that?"

Team Leader's will generally only be the ones to come out with something quite as stupid as that ;) Everyone else is either an actual worker, or has mastered talking out their arse and become a proper manager  :D
