Hi everyone, I am planning to switch from iPhone 7 Plus to XS.

I've been using plus models since 6 Plus, I kinda adapted to its size but I've always preferred something better for one hand usage and that would fit better in my pockets. I've played around with XS Max and it's definitely worst than the plus in terms of ergonomics, so I'm discarding that as an option.

I loved the XS size, it's basically perfect for me without sacrificing too much screen real estate. I don't watch long videos or movies on my phone, so I am not all in for bigger displays.

My only concern is battery life and I'm not considering the XR because I much prefer the XS size and its crisp display.

Has any of you switched from 7 plus to XS (not Max)? How's battery life compared to 7 Plus?

I don't care about multiple days of battery life, I just want it to get me through the day and maybe a bit more.

My iPhone 7 Plus at 85% battery health can get me from 7am to 11pm when I charge the phone at around 15-20% battery life with SOT that is ranging between 4 and 5 and half hours.

My typical usage during workdays is safari (a lot), instagram here and there, mail and whatsapp, some youtube videos (about 30mins each day) and light gaming (about 30 mins, usually when I am in bed before plugging the phone). During weekends same usage with maybe camera for photos and videos and few google apps related to my job (drive, sheet, hubspot and more). BT always on and paired with an Apple Watch, GPS on all apps (excluding Facebook and a couple more), background app refresh on just for messaging apps.

If the XS could get me at around 30% with the same usage, I would be more than happy.

Oh I forgot, I am always on WiFi and my mobile signal is always full both at home and at work (in 4G).
