So after a year or two away from "native" android, I finally took the plunge yesterday, wiped my S3 and installed Cyanogen 10.2. All I can say it wow. The difference is just incredible - the smoothness and responsiveness is just light years ahead of the stock samsung implementation. What is Samsung doing?
Also got to say that stock android (or close to it as CM is) has come a long way. I've installed the new kitkat goodies and I got to say that it's one very polished OS. Only thing I will miss are some of the Samsung camera goodies but I'll live with that.
I like what Google is doing with pulling many apps out of the OS and into the play store as .apk's. It means so much less reliance on the likes of Samsung and maybe it will push the OEM's into less tinkering with the OS and have their additions as play store apps too.
Anyway I'll get off my soap box now.
