I go to New York in 2 weeks, and Ill be picking up a 15 inch Macbook Pro.

Gonna get it from either the Apple Store of B&H Photo.

Just wondering if id be better paying cash for it, or using a credit / debit / currency card for the exchange rates etc? I know I will have to pay the 8%+ tax on the purchase regardless

any opinions are appreciated

thanks :)

I prefer paying with cash when in a foreign country. You could take a look what it would cost with your credit card and how much with cash and then choose the cheapest.

You'll get a better price from B&H Photo. If you are a photographer a visit to their store should on your list of places to visit. As for cash or credit I rather not comment but I do everything with my credit card (assuming I can pay the bill 100% when it comes) but regarding exchange rates I would think that would be for the day of the sale and if not it could work for or against you.
