I worked this out years ago but I forgot about it only to discover that it now works better than ever.

This is for macOS, who knew it was possible to throw or push objects around the desktop with inertia using a trackpad? For example picking up a screenshot and gradually sliding it to the other side of the desktop to drop it onto an icon by giving it little inertial nudges where it slides along and gradually comes to a stop then you give it another nudge till it lands on where you want it? Works for any drag and drop, but it's instead of drag and drop it's more of a slide it around with inertia and drop it without letting it slip out of your grasp and land on something that you don't want to drop it on.

I've recently gotten into the habit of using three finger drag to try and do this by quickly dragging an object somewhere quickly hoping I didn't run out of trackpad before I got to where I was going. But I don't need to bother with that now I can get there is small pushes.
