My HD is getting a bit full, I haven't had this particular MacBook that long, but I have an iPod touch that is four time larger than my original nano and I have additional lists for various reasons. I don't want to get rid of my music list or the files associated with them.

From what I understand, I can remove old time machine back-ups. (In the first picture.) How can I do that safely? In the second picture I included what was taking up the space on my HDD. Do I really need to be concerned now? How do I eliminate them?

I have spent a few days going through my Apple Music library to check for duplicates or orphaned files, so as far as I know, it's OK.

If you have 150GB available out of 250GB it does not look like your HD (or SSD) is getting full. You have more than half of your storage space unused.

When should I be concerned?
It’s usually a good idea to keep at least 10% free space To allow for swap space. Once you get to 80% full you can start to look at moving some files to an external drive.

You should be good for a long time.

I've got three playlists on Apple Music. One that is complete. And the other two are a work in progress. Depending on if certain people or groups release new material. It'll be a long time since I only listen to my Christmas playlist now and when it's not Christmas (January 1st), I'll go back to my original playlist.
