I have just purchased the new macbook pro and do not know where to post this topic but here!
1. How do i import my folders(which i have created) from hotmail Application in my windows computer to my MAC?
2. When i received a new email from an unknown person how do i save his address within my mail application? Thanks for your response.

Just set op your hotmail in the mail application and make sure to check contacts. Now, i think, both your folders and contacts will sync

1. Not sure. Hotmail uses the POP protocol instead of IMAP so it can't be done. I may well be wrong here.

2. Click on their name/email address in the 'From' field of the opened email and in the drop down click on 'Add to Address book'.
 
1. Use the automatic Mail email setup and put in the POP+SMTP settings for Windows Hotmail's servers.

2. When you open a piece of email in Mail in the messages "From:" address put you mouse over that email address and select "Add to Address Book", easy.

Get the book that will help your switch called Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual, Snow Leopard Edition. It will help you greatly and is a very easy read that is somewhat funny.
