iPhone 11 Pro Max From Xs Max to 11 Pro Max or 12 Pro Max

Hi guys,

For those who have upgraded each year, did you notice more differences upgrading from xs max to 11 pro max or from 11 pro max to 12 pro max?

I’m debating between picking an 11 pro max with high discount (450€ less than 12 pro max) to gain battery/camera improvements from xs max and save for 2021/2022 iphone or going all-in and get 12 pro max at full price...

If you’re thinking of going for the 2021 pro max then wouldn’t it be better to just hold it off considering we’re mid cycle? Only 6 months to go now. I feel like the 12 pro max brings a new design at least plus a bit more screen, Qualcomm chip; 11 pro max is the ultra wide and some iterative improvements over the XS.

I upgraded from a xs max to 12 pro max, loving the awesome battery life (best in the industry by far on par with 11 pro max) cameras are also a huge upgrade (best in the business)

Not a huge difference between the 11 pro max and 12 pro max, if you can find a 11 pro max at a bargain price, might be worth buying, wouldn’t pay full retail price for a 12 pro max at the moment, we’re 6 month away from the 12s/13 models being released. 🧐📱

My impressions, other's may vary:

XS Max to 11 Pro Max- night mode was great and battery life increase was nice too. I've no use for the wide-angle lens.

11 Pro Max to 12 Pro Max- night mode is better (not that it was bad on the 11), battery life about the same for me. Larger screen size is hardly noticeable. Like the redesign even though it lives in a case.

I only got my 12 Pro Max because I got a deal- $200 USD off, so I have a new iPhone paying less than I did for my 11 Pro Max. Otherwise I'd have waited until the 13 or whatever it's name will be. Would I consider the 11 series, no probably not at this point, unless there's a stellar deal to be had. Which sounds like that's the case.

My wife went from XS Max to 12 Pro Max and it was a big difference to her, not so much for me. Hope this helps, good luck!

the modem itself is a huge difference, arguably the best difference yet

an extra 2GB of RAM and A14’s ANE are close contenders

to the OP, I’d switch the clock forward one hour and get the 13PM instead. We are in mid cycle so I’d say keep the XS Max and save that money😊
