iPad Air Front microphone issue after 26.1 update

Just updated a 2024 iPad Air from 18 to 26.1. But now the front microphone sensitivity is almost zero. Dictation on the keyboard doesn’t register and if I use voice memos I can just about hear my muffled voice underneath the background hiss. Rear microphone is working fine. Another identical iPad was updated from 18 to 26 to 26.1 and has no such problems.

Any ideas?
