I have an iMac running plain Leopard that's about two years old and I've never really had any problems with it in the past.

Yesterday, I watched part of a DVD using Front Row and everything was fine. However, when I tried to watch the rest of it later that day, Front Row wouldn't work and just gave me a blank screen. The startup screen with the DVD, Movies, Music, etc. menu came up, but after I clicked the DVD option, it would just fade to black and nothing would happen at all.

After I quit out of FR and opened DVD Player, I had a similar problem. First it sounded like it was working, but then the screen also went black and I got the spinning beachball of death. I had to force quit because it started to freeze up my whole screen.

It did the same thing with other DVDs and after I restarted and installed software updates.

What can I do to fix this?

(If this is in the wrong section of the forum, could you move it to where it should be? I'm not familiar with this website).
