Has anyone else noticed that once updating to the latest version of Front Row (on an Intel iMac) the 'Movies' list does not fully load? Mine just sits there 'loading' and I have to crash the mac to get out of it.

Hmmmm.. I'll try mine out tomorrow. I hope not.

Hopefully I remember.

This happened to me as well but only the first time i loaded it... it was annoying... took quite a long time... but after the initial launch it seems to go right in there... give it time to process the entire library of movies, and after that it should lauch pretty quickly...

Yeah well I left the room and had a shower... came back and it was still going around and around...

I have 30 'videos' in my folder weighing in at about 48GB.

I can't get the movie trailers to work. It says it can't reach the server or something like that. I went to Maxfixit to see what they say and they mentioned to wait about 10 seconds and also make sure your Firewall is on and allows Quicktime. I did that and it still doesn't work.

"make sure your Firewall is on"

Really? Why not just turn it off...

Regarding the post topic.

Front Row used to work perfectly until I upgraded it, so something is fishy with the new version.

Will have to wait for an upgrade I guess... Then I'll have to deal with a different problem probably :(

I found a different bug in this latest release of FrontRow. When I try and watch a DVD it plays just fine until it gets to the DVD menu...then "BOOM". I get to the DVD menu and I can't navigate it!

The menu loads just fine but using the controls on the keyboard or remote just causes the volume to change or it to "skip" to the beginning of the menu track. So, all in all, I can't actually play a movie through FrontRow. This seems almost as dumb as the time that 64 Bit was lost in a security update!

I have about 150gb's worth of movies in my movies folder.

Once i run frontrow it take about 1 mins to list up all the movies

BTW: all these movies RUN in Quicktime, if they dont, thats whats causing the delay/crash/unresponsiveness

Is anyone else not getting a 'click' sound when they move up and down a list in Front Row, after the latest update? I'm not..

go into your sound preferences and make sure "play Front Row sound effects" is ticked. ;)
