Front Row problem

Whenever I access Front Row, Video, and then Movies it kicks me back to the desktop. I just got my very first mac today and it was working earlier. The only thing I can think that I may have done to affect it is install Xvid support in the ~/Library/Quicktime folder. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks.

Well when I removed the plugins for xvid support the problem went away. But I can't watch Xvid videos (on the desktop, not in front row) without leaving them installed. Can anyone help?

Oh well, I found a solution. I just uninstalled the xvid quicktime components and downloaded the Perian component. It works fine with front row!

Glad you found a solution, If i had been anywhere near awake, might have been able to answer it for you, but it's good to find things on your own now and then...makes you remember, and now you can answer someone else who has the same issue in the future.
