I woke up to Front Row on my screen the other morning, and my wireless keyboard not working. I replaced batteries, reconnected, nothing. So I couldn't use it and I put it aside and started using the built-in keyboard (which is a whole other problem).

Today the computer went totally weird. A loud crackly noise came from my headset and when I checked it out, the screen had nothing on it, black/grey, no way I could see anything. It was like the screen as it was passing into opening the Front Row program, only it never got there.

So I shut it off. After a respectable time, I restarted and then it started going through a cycle, opening Front Row, I would escape out of it, then it would bring up the print dialog box with an image of the current Safari window, then the grammer checker. I would close them out, and then it would start again. Over and over. For a while, I shut it down again. I tried to search for virus stuff on Mac and found a lot of nothing.

Then I noticed the light had gone off on the keyboard/mouse receiver, and I figured I should just disconnect the whole thing anyway since I couldn't use the keyboard, and I never used that mouse.

And for some reason, I thought to look and see what was lurking in the startup, or Login Items, as Mac calls it. There were three things I figured I could remove, one of which had to do with the Keyboard and the other the Mouse. I removed them both. Restarted. No more problems. [yet]
