I have a MacBook (white) 2008. Recently I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard. The upgrade went fine, then I tried to open Safari and my onboard keyboard and trackpad froze! I'v done a restart, I've reset the PRAM and nothing responds. I attached a USB keyboard and use my Bluetooth Mouse with NO problems and am able to use the MacBook, though the onboard stuff still unresponsive.

I am curious if there is a firmware update that I am missing and if anyone else has run into this problem?

yeah i have,
what it was (i mentioned this in a previous thread but aint got time to look for it) was a third party app that had not been updated to be compatible with my current os.

i had to re-install os, update app and all was fine.

i am however running 10.7.2 but the genius at apple said it could happen across all platforms.

can't see why! but hey, he gets paid for being there.
