O.K... Here's the problem... With a recently replaced harddrive running O.S lion 10.7.5 all has been running smoothly on my mid 2009 mac air. Yesterday all froze and the umbrella wheel of death began to spin.. I did a force shutdown and went out thinking nothing more of it. When it failed to re boot I tried a few tricks in single user mode a PRAM reboot and just about everything I could find on the internet to do. Eventually it started with a long period at the beginning where things freeze including the tool bar animations then maybe into the spinning umbrella before things settle down and all is normal smooth and mac like once again about five to ten minutes in. I have also tried disc utility but to no avail.
As a test I created a new user and made him a joint administrator and relogged in as him and all was fine.. So I can get by as being this new user for now but don't like the knowledge that something is wrong on the other side and it is a bit of a drag to shift all my files over...
Any Ideas....
