I restored my iPhone from an iCloud backup only to find that certain functions aren’t available (e.g. iOS update, turning iCloud backup on/off) because it claims the restore is ongoing. Yet it’s been ~48 hours and shows no signs of progressively resynching absent music/photos or doing anything else.

There’s no option to stop the restore as there evidently is on newer devices/OS’s.

Is there any way to determine if it’s very, very slow or permanently frozen. Yes, I can do the restore again but would rather avoid this not least because I don’t understand the problem and fear data loss.

Thanks.

Wow this is old. Yes it is frozen. Are you doing this on Mac or pc for the restore? Windows will put USB in a low power state which can affect transfers.
