Frozen Pointer New Macbook

I just got my macbook about 2 days ago i turned it off once and updated the software on it and when i turned it back on the trackpad stopped working... the pointer works when i use a USB mouse... help anyone?

May just be a dead trackpad. Phone up apple or go to the apple store and they can get it sorted out since the purchase was so recent. They overnight a box to you if you choose to mail it in free of charge so either way, you won't have to pay.
