Yesterday my touch froze, I reset it by holding the home and sleep key and now all that happens if I turn it on is the Apple startup logo is displayed, nothing else happens. Can anyone suggest how I might resolve this or do I need to take it into the shop for repair?
Thanks

Does it show up in iTunes? I am assuming not but if so you could always try a restore on it.

Also, try to reset it while it is connected to the USB cable.

iTunes starts to sync (but doesn't finish) but the ipod doesn't show up (on the side menu) :(

It's so strange but shortly after writing my reply to you Safari froze on a page for me and I also attempted to reset my Touch with it hanging at the Apple logo.

I plugged it into the USB cable and then I held home and sleep and it suddenly returned to the startup screen and started syncing.

This was the first time I have experienced this.
