I have an iPod 4Gen and an iPhone 4S. On My iPod I have all the songs organized in playlists, I'd like to copy them on iTunes and then on my iPhone without losing the order that i gave to the playlists.
I tried several third parties programs but all they do is copy 4,000 songs all messed up in just one big list loosing all the folders I created on the iPod to organize the music.

Is there any software that would basically allow me to clone my music folder from my iPod to my iPhone?

thank you for your help and forgive me if it's a silly question.

Is all of your music on iTunes on your computer?

I found this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1329
But I'm not quite clear on the problem. I switched computers a while ago, and I was able to simply sync my iPod Touch's library onto my computer without any issues.
