FSCK -F won't run, temp file size crap?

Help! Computer crashing non-stop... disk permissions did nothing (does it ever?)

The error coming from FSCK -F was

"temp 897155 should be 0 instead of 1443"

...so what next?

G5 2.0Ghz 1.5GB RAM
