Hi,
I have this problem, when trying to connect to my iMac via FTP, if I use a wired connection from my iMac to my AEBS and port 21 forwarded to the iMac I can connect from outside locations using my public IP with no problem.
If I switch my iMac to connect to the AEBS via Wifi and change the private IP the AEBS is forwarding to (wired: 192.168.1.100, Wifi: 192.168.1.101) I can not connect when outside using my public IP.
Is there some sort of extra protection added when connecting via wifi? I can connect via FTP when using the local IP (192.168.1.101) when in the house, so this tells me it maybe a AEBS problem with forwarding to a machine connected via wireless. I even set up the AEBS to reserve the IP of the iMac via MAC address so it is static.
Any suggestions?
