Hey.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but couldn't find anywhere more suitable.

Anyway, I am trying to set my Macbook Pro up for FTP File Sharing as I need t transfer a 9GB file to my PC laptop (and external hard drives won't work for some reason).

I have gone into sharing, ticked File Sharing, then in the options, ticked FTP access.

When I'm on my PC, Internet Explorer just says "This page cannot be displayed" but Firefox kinda works...but... on the status bar it says "connected to ftp://..." but the when it changes to "Beginning FTP transactoin" it comes up with an error saying "530 user anonymous unknown"

Anyone know where I'm going wrong?

Thanks

Even though you enabled FTP on the Mac, I don't believe it will accept "anonymous" logins.

Use your admin username (from the mac) and password to do ftp transfers.
