FTP is still FAIL on 10.6

For as long as i can remember apple has a big issue with getting FTP/server connection in OS X right.

Tried connecting to an FTP server today...it took forever to connect, bogged down the whole finder while it was connecting, and when I tired downloading the file it was corrupt.

I gave up downloaded Transmit, and the file is now downloading fine.


I dont get it Apple, FTP has been around forever, and you still cant get it right in the most recent version of your OS??? What give??
