I was in the middle of transferring files via FTP using Transmit when the client reported "server closed connection" for the transfers and would not let me reconnect to my server. I tried ftp from the terminal and it reported "421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection." I tried from my Windows box which shares the same connection (both have the same IP from dialup ICS in Windows) and it works fine with Filezilla. I tried restarting OS X, removing Transmit's plist/metadata, disabled firewalls, restarting the FTPd on the server and FTP still does not seem to work from OS X. It had been perfectly fine up until the issue mid transfer.
Edit: Seems to be a problem with the dialup ICS as FTP works again from the MBP when using the usb apple modem. Sadly it drops every few minutes and won't establish a connection faster than 14.4k which is why I was using ICS to begin with.
Any ideas? I can't get any work done at all without FTP working.
