FTP on Dreamweaver CS3

I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 on my Mac for web development. And ever since I've had it, I have all the files on my machine and then upload to the server through Dreamweaver's FTP. My question is, can I just be connected to the server and view things on there in the Data section instead of view the "site" on my machine? Kinda like in Coda or Aptana

(Hopefully this makes since)
