Hi,

What is the deal with the ftp sever?

I try to do setup a sharing user and it doesn't work, but the standard user will work? Not sure why but it does. Want to fix.

Could you explain that somewhat? Which Version of OS X are you using?What do you mean by "sharing user"? At what stage exactly "does it not work"?

10.5.5 And when you go into sharing pane. You will see you can do ftp. But you can add users. They are called Sharing Users.

Without knowing what exactly "doesn't work" I can only guess... You created a "Sharing only" user, and in the Sharing Pane of System Preferences you turned not only File Sharing on, but also enabled that "Sharing only" user and added something to Shared Folders?

What doesn't work is logging in with the Sharing Only user.
