Full body protection + water resistance... easier install?

My Plus won't be here until November (thanks, AT&T!), but since I got the Jet Black I've been looking at some full body films. It got me to thinking, since this phone is water resistant, you could probably install these with the phone underwater and eliminate any dust getting underneath. Has anyone tried this? Just thinking out loud here.

Really interesting thought! I honestly don't see why that wouldn't work. Only thing is that you'd only be able to apply the flat surface underwater. When it comes to the sides and corners you'll have to do that out of water, but hey I think that's a solid idea.
