Got my wife an Anker Select 20000 power bank (Target sells this one, which appears to be an older model…) so she could use it on multi-day hikes to charge her iPhone and Apple Watch SE each night overnight and wake to 100% on each device.

Her testing on her watch shows this isn’t working. Even when we disable the watch’s “optimized battery charging”. It appears that this model Anker does NOT have the “trickle charge” option where you hold the button to turn green and then it would allegedly keep charging even at low draw…

Newer Anker models have this. Anyone with experience with these OR other brand that can charge a device at bedtime and KEEP it charged? All the way to 100? And without it dipping down again overnight after hitting 80 or 100? And ideally compatible with Apple’s optimized 80% “hold” overnight? That’s what I need.

How far below 100% is the watch reaching?

Most powerbanks tend to shut off when they sense there's no (or very little) current draw.

I'm unaware of any which don't do this.

Can she just wake the powerbank when she wakes up and let the devices get topped up while she's tending to the things she needs to do upon waking?
