I am using a BM Ultrastudio recorder to stream video to a macbook. (Thx to smallwhitecar :) )

Now this works fine with DV resolve and BM media express. What I want to do is:

  • get the stream to show up full screen on the macbook
  • record that full screen stream

This doesn't sound to diffult, but BM customer support said that none of their apps do this.
They recommended VLC, but VLC does not recognize the camera as an external source.

I am looking for an easy to use solution, since a computer iliterate person is going to use this setup.

Help and suggestions are highly appreciated!

Don't know how this will rank in terms of working for a "computer illiterate," but I've used it before and I'm very used to it, but try out BoinxTV.

It's pay software but you can run the free trial and install it countless times as far as I know if you keep using different e-mails. I used to use it on a Mac Pro to do video broadcasting.
