I have a question about using a television as an external display.
I have a 65" Mistubishi DLP HDTV hooked up via a DVI->HDMI cable. It's running to a receiver which then runs the signal to the TV.
I can do virtually anything EXCEPT play full-screen games on the TV. When I go full-screen with a game, the TV acts as if it has no signal. Here are the things I have tried to do to resolve this issue:
1) I have tried multiple games, from World of Warcraft, to Civilization and even SNES9X.
2) I have tried using the TV as my only monitor (via close lid, insert mouse while plugged into TV).
3) I have tried various combinations of graphics settings in the games.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but there you have it. I learned something new last night, however. If I tell SNES9X to be full screen AND to change my monitor resolution it works.. even though my SNES games end up in a small box on the screen (not even using 75% of the available height of the TV).
Any help is appreciated, this is a long-standing issue which I have never been able to resolve, and which really bothers me.
