Full screen video HELP in safari

Im not sure what safari i have, but when i watch videos from any site, hulu, abc, abc family, nbc, cbs, and site and go to make it full screen it is just a black screen, i can still hear the video and everything. But its black, i want to watch it full screen!!! HELP!!!!!!!
