What??? I want it already? What is it?? I'm guessing we will see Mac OS X for Intel machines =)

It's highly likely that Apple is making these teasers seem something they're not - OS X on x86...

Very much sounds like something to do with OS X though. Servers? A PDA running scaled-down X? Perhaps they're skipping the G5-9 and going straight to the G10! Yeah baby!

whoa...

i wasnt guessing the os x on intel just because of this new teaser. it was just a guess. especially with the old teaser - to go (beyond) where no pc has gone before.. i dunno... i want something cool...

OSX on Wintel

I do not think Apple will release OSX for Intel as a general purpose OS.

I do think it is remotely possible that they could work out a licensing arraignment with say IBM to provide OSX as a server OS on a few of their existing Intel boxes.

This would not require any third party software developers to port their products over. It would also limit the configurations that Apple would have to test and limit the number of drivers that would need to be developed.
