Hi guys, I took delivery of my retina iMac last week and am loving it, but I have one issue that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere and was wondering if anyone could help.

I can watch youtube and netflix videos in full screen, but several smaller video sites (and BBC iPlayer) just go black and play sound in Chrome. These same sites work fullscreen on my second, 1080p monitor or on the main screen in Safari. Any ideas? I have downloaded the latest Flash player but can't think what else to try.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Easy, don't run Chrome. It seems to be a resource hog.

Same issues on in Firefox playing videos not in full screen. I'm guessing the browsers are still adjusting to Yosemite. We'll have to wait for the updates.

I am trying to move more towards Safari for performance but I like alot of my chrome addons (namely Adblock) so would prefer to find a solution for Chrome if possible.

Lots of addons for Safari, most importantly Adblock. No-one would suggest a browser without that, surely.
