Any recommendations for Mac Mini like skins, mounts and etc...? Did a google search but most of the accessories are for the older Mac minis. Are they compatible with the 2018 Mac Mini? I'm looking for a mount to put behind the monitor, i wonder if it's ok to do that at all?

I would assume most accessories for the previous models that use the same basic body would work, as long as they don't interact with the ports. I'm not sure when that design started, but around 2011 or 2012.

I believe Apple deliberately kept the exact same outer dimensions specifically for this purpose, users who have brackets / racks / docks that are already tight fit, some even have mechanical lever for the power switch.

I have my Mini standing vertically (small desk, takes up less space). It replaced an older Macbook Pro I kept docked in a cheap vertical stand. The base was adjustable to fit the Mini so I essentially just switched out the MBP with it.

Cheap & works well - I believe it was something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D8PGN6Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_1MX9BbS3E6RXC

From the Apple Store...

That would be something similar to the Innovelis TotalMount Pro Mounting System for Mac Mini.

I picked it up with the 2018 Mini purchase from the Apple Store and used it to mount the new 2018 Mini off the side of the desk.

It is set up for Vesa mounting also, so it should work fine if you got easy access to the monitor mount holes.
