Ok, so I needed a full length keyboard to use some of the extra keys (numberpad) that my shorter keyboard didn't have. So I bought a Cherry initial.

Now on here If I press the fn+F10, 11 or 12, I get the mute, lower or higher volume. Same with F7 to 9 for the play controls in iTunes.

Yet if I want to change the brightness (F1 and 2) they do nothing, if I hold down fn or if I just press them on their own.

I have keyRemap4Macbook which allows me to change the keys so F1 and F2 changes brightness, but I need these keys to use in Pro Tools, which is why I need to use fn + a key.

Is there a way around this without me having to set up different profiles in keyRemap4Macbook.

Also, what do peopls use F13 - 19 for? I have an extra 7 keys at my disposal now. One more thing, what is the key above the 7 on my numeric keypad (Square with an "X" in it?)
