hi,

firstly, i have recently got a new apple keyboard and the function keys on it have got messed up. it has the logos for things like pause, volume and brightness, but when i click them, they dont do what they say on the key.

secondly, i have also recently got a magic mouse and you are meant to be able to swipe to scroll and thing like that, but that doesnt work either.

is there anything or anyone that can help me?

thanks

Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys might be enabled.

Have you checked System Preferences > Mouse yet?

i have clicked Use all f1,f2, etc keys as standard function and nothing has changed,

also there is nothing in System Preferences > Mouse except for scroll speed

i also dont get the illuminate keyboard in low light conditions and turn off when computer is not used for: ...

The F1, F1 thingy has to be deselected to use the keys for the functions that are printed on them.

How may fingers do you use for scrolling? I use one and it works.

That is because the external keyboard has no backlight and the turn off when option is not there because of the non-existing backlight.

I just grabbed a screen shot from the www, as doing it myself didn't seem to be necessary, as there are many already out there and I din't want to add to the redundancy.

Will any of these updates help:

iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.2
Mac OS X Update Combinded 10.6.3 v1.1

thanks
