Last night I was skating at my local skate park and I saw a kid using a new LG smart phone with a touch screen. I said to him "New phone?". He replied "Yeah, it's the new LG with touch screen... it's pretty nice... and it's 3G, so it's really fast, yeah." I asked him which carrier he was using and he told me "AT&T". I really wanted to tell him that there is currently NO 3G coverage in NH, but I just didn't have the heart. So this super fast 3G phone he has is running on 2.5G, just like everyone else in New Hampshire. I think a lot of people don't really understand what 3G is. Then I was thinking... I wonder how many New Hampshire iPhone 3G users out there are bragging about how their iPhone has 3G so it's really fast... haha.

Would you have told him, or just let him keep thinking his new phone is really fast?

I would have asked him why his phone had an E in the status bar then, instead of a fancy 3G.
