Furniture suggestions? not IKEA!

I have had my IKEA set for a little over a year, and it is already falling apart.

it is wobbly, stained up, and downright cheap.

I am looking for a new bedroom set that includes bedframe, dresser, nightstand, desk, and media console.

my budget is around $1,000 - 2,000.

right now I am probably going to go to Art Van when they have some sort of sale going on, but I thought I should hear your suggestions.

I like modern, clean lined furniture.

i would look at Crate + Barrel or CB2. also west elm.

There is an awesome little furniture store around here that sells solid wood furniture for insanely cheap. All of my solid oak bedroom furniture (full sized bed, with mattress and box spring, dresser, chest, and a nightstand) was just $1,200. I'd love to be able to find a solid oak desk from them to replace this pressed-wood beauty I'm currently using.

I'm a big fan of CB2, but I haven't been there in a while as theres not one in my area. Also, EQ3 but it might not fit into your price range. They have some great sales though...
