I recently upgraded a Fusion 6 VM from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Other than the annoying requirement for logging in with a Microsoft account most everything went well.
The Fusion 6 Shared Folders option works for the desktop shortcut. It can be removed and added without issue. The problem is the mapped drive for the Shared Folders no longer works. In my case, the mapped drive is necessary for DVDFab and Media Center Master to work properly.
So far, I have tried adding and removing shared drive options repeatedly with various restart and sign out combinations. I also tried reinstalling VMware Tools. No luck.
