Ok so I am in the markter for a futon. This would not be my sleeping situation but a place for guests to sleep when they visit and a place for me and my friends to sit and relax. So does anyone have any suggestions on brands? I obvioulsy want it to be more comfortable to sit on but at the same time comfortable for a two night stay on it. So lets hear them. kThanks.

I'd imagine you're going to be sitting on it a lot more than someone is sleeping on it... and futons can be pretty firm which can be uncomfortable to sit on. And the weight of the mattress can make them quite unwieldy to put down and up again.

I'd suggest you look at either a daybed or a sofabed. Both are more comfortable for sitting on and if you get one with a properly sprung bed part, comfortable for sleeping on. You can even get ones with a compartment for storing your spare bedlinen which cuts down on clutter elsewhere.

I thought about a futon when I bought my place but went with the sofabed.
