future iphone plus get wider not taller

No, I think that's an awful idea, it would not be remotely holdable in one hand wider, it would not really fit in pockets as a phone in a wider form factor.

The 6+ is already wide enough as it is, to the point that one handed typing is almost unusable (I still can manage, but it's a stretch).

That's only if the bezels get smaller.

The side bezels are already small enough as it is. The top bezel could be made smaller, but the bottom bezel can't, because of the Touch ID/homescreen button.
