Given that the nano has superior battery life over it big brother due to the fact it has no hard disk inside, how long will it be before we see flash memory across all models?

Why dont they just put 10 8GB flash chips inside and do away with hard drive altogether to increase playback time for video/movies?:rolleyes:
 
There are still cost issues (note that the 8 GB nano and the 30 GB iPod are the same price). When the price of flash falls enough to be competitive with discs, it could happen.
