I absolutely love the MacBook Air, but the only drawbacks for me are storage and the GPU. How amazing would it be to have Apple come up with a new Thunderbolt display that had a SSD/HDD built in along with a better GPU and a CD/DVD drive? I could just come home from work, hook up my MacBook and be able to play some WoW/Windows games or edit some videos. I love this idea, what do you guys think? Would it even be possible?

Apple played with "docks" back in the 90's.

Apple was in critical condition and rumored to be seconds from death in the 90's.

Anyway, what complaints do you have with the HD 3000? I play RAGE at medium/high settings in full 1440x900 resolution completely smoothly. RAGE. Really!

Well, I have a MacBook Pro 13 from 2010 and it has the NVIDIA 320M which I've read seems to be better than the 3000. It's decent. lol and I just want more powah.

Not certain, but we were only referring to two of the three cards listed. Therefore the last can be ignored entirely.

It's irrelevant. It was in response to a statement comparing the HD 3000 and 320m...

Then get a dedicated console or Windows PC for gaming, as even if such device you wish for would exist, even TB is too slow for modern GPUs, as far as I remember even faster than GPUs using DDR3 memory.

It still seems that software developers' driver support and intel's CPU integration balance each other out. You'll get slightly better performance with an integrated chip, no doubt, but are the HD 3000's anything to complain about?

RAGEguy says no. Not with words, but with wingsticks.

NO.

lol I've never seen someone so avid about integrated graphics, I'm just saying I want something with more kick.

If Apple ever came out with such a product I guarantee you it would cost at least as much as a new desktop PC - which is what you should actually get. It's the perfect set up to have: desktop PC for gaming + Macbook Air for your couch / whatever.

Heck if I know anything about Crysis. All I know is RAGE looks bad...so bad. idTech 5 must just be a better engine :D

you have read thats not real world difference.
Besides due to legal issues; we are stuck with Intel graphics. (I am happier with i5/i7 w/integrated graphics then C2D w/320m)
