So... Netflix just released 4k support on Kaby Lake processors (sore subject) running Windows 10 Edge browser.

My understanding is that this is possible on Kabylake because of the HDCP 2.2 DRM support it has. While the new MacBook Pros run Skylake, the AMD GPUs on the 15" models support this new DRM standard (os so I understand).
Any idea if this means 15" MBPs might one day get Netflix 4k support without Kabylake, or will the machines never be able to because of the Skylake chips?
(MBP may not have a 4k screen, but it does have a much higher res than 1080p)
