Optical Drive Removal
Flash Storage Implementation
High Resolution Screen (Retina Display?)
Thunderbolt Ports (Removal of USB and FireWire Ports)

the only one I doubt there would be retina, and maybe they will include at least one usb port.

DJs get SSD.
Explorers get 2nd battery.
Video editors get 2xeSATA.

The only person who isn't happy is Steve and his "clean lines" campaign -- I say the good of the many....

Really if all they did was make SSD standard next year, they could make an event out of it and show off how ridiculously fast it is, or already is .

I thought the entire purpose of Thunderbolt was to unify ports, as in making a USB-esque port that works for both?

I think the retina display is very possible, what with the independent resolution rumor from the other day.

I hope 2012 is the year they make several things standard. Flash storage, no optical drive and thunderbolt.

Is there any chance the MBP could be updated later this year? I recall this a couple years back.
