fuzz sounds with new mbp and new S4's

I just recently got my mbp and a pair of klipsch s4's. I hear a funny fuzz sound when I plug in my headphones then it will go away. I will then play a music clip and after the song is over, I can begin to hear the fuzz again.

Is this normal?

There is also a good 1 or 2 second delay when plugging in my headphones in the mbp and when taking them out.

I tried the apple regular headphones and don't hear the static. I guess it is the s4's maybe I need to break them in.
