In OS 10.3 when my desktop appears for the first time after start up, the images are fuzzy. The dialogue boxes have parchment like edges instead of straight lines. I go to Display, change the resolution for 2 seconds, then change back to the original resolution and it clears up. Anybody else encounter this and know what to do about it?

you wouldn't happen to have an old LCD monitor, would you? they are set at one fixed resolution and any deviation from that results on interpolating the pixels or something like that, leading to the fuzziness.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Thanks for your reactions. My monitor is an Apple Cinema Display, 2 years old, and it has always worked well. :)
