I'm taking up audio production as a hobby. I've got a 2009(?) Unibody 15" Macbook Pro and a 2011 Mac Mini.

The audio interface I'm getting is Firewire 400 so is there anything I can get to give me Firewire 400 on both the laptop and the mini?

All you need is a firewire 6 pin to 9 pin cable:

You DON'T want to try connecting both devices to your interface at one time. One-at-a-time is what works.

Thanks,

I wasn't suggesting I connect the interface to the Laptop and Mini at the same time :) But great to know it's just a cable I need.
