If you had problems downloading software or connecting to the iTunes store, Mac and iOS store, it's not your device. The connection to those stores were down this morning for a bit. The connections have been just recently restored so you can try downloading or connecting again. This is especially for iOS owners that don't get the same feedback when their requested to download app is stuck *waiting* without prompting for the user password.

It is waiting for your account to ask for the password which didn't come because the store wasn't responding. Anyway. Just an FYI. Downloads should work as normal now.
