Just wanted to pass this along to anyone with a FAN who is going to remove it to purchase via Apple.
Long story short, my FAN had to be removed from three different locations on my account. The third place was one the Apple activation guy didn't even know existed. So if you get an IRU error and ATT says it can't be resolved, give National Corporate sales a call and make them review your entire account, they eventually found the error. Also, don't believe the ATT reps if they say that particular customer service line isn't open on weekends, because it is.

Anyway, I am <3 my phone but it took way longer than expected because ATT reps didn't know what they were doing.
